Webers - Das Hotel Im Ruhrturm

Rooms were very modern and Clean, Location was also good. You could take a bus from Central station to the Hotel. Negative Aspects would be the Internet connection, it was very poor and i had to log in the browser everytime i wanted to use the internet. and the air conditioner ( it didn't work). Staff at the receptions were friendly :)

Rooms are dated. The waterpressure in the bathroom either spays you down and the wall behind you or is none existent. Two lamps were broken. Breakfast was abit pricy and not very good. We came down to breakfast 1,5 hours before the breakfast closed and alot of the food was out at that point We had to tell the two staff members in the dining area that the food was out for them to get more. And it took a long time for them to refill. The Lounge in the reception area was great. Had a nice vibe to it. The bartender was a real gentleman, and really took his time to make the drinks as good as he could. Very nice! One of the nights it was packed, seems like the hotel doesn't take care of its staff tho because we could see him working really hard not getting a single break for at least 5 hours. Seems weird when there were at least 2 people at the reception in the office behind it just sitting there. Like 10 meters from the bar, and people had to wait 15 minutes for their drinks. Comeon help you colleague!

The hotel staff had to struggle with computer problems for a few days, so they didn't have so much patience of sympathy. The door key didn't work because of the computer, the tv remote didn't work, the climatisation didn't work so it was really hot in the bedroom, worse than a sauna in the bathroom. The windows can't be opened so it didn't help... The staff changed quite fast but not nicely the tv remote and it worked. The breakfast was more or less ok. Close to the hospital where i had to go, 4 minutes by foot.

Didn't spend much time in the hotel as we were mostly at Spiel Essen. Rooms were clean, neat and good quality, with good showers. Hotel was very quiet. When we asked to hold onto our many bags of boardgames it was no problem. We were considering playing boardgames in the lobby, but the atmosphere and music weren't very good for it and that seemed to have a concensus, as we didn't see anyone else playing here. To Messe Essen there's an easy bus, and there's one to the station as well. Only late at night there isn't any direct public transit back from the center.

Personel of this hotel is very kind and available to help you. I arrived at restaurant after closure and they gave me a salad in any case. I appreciated a lot. Said this, i didn't like the hotel so much. Position is totally out from center and you cannot reach any interesting point by feet. Room was not so clean and the moquette was dirty and full of stains.

we was there last week . we did reservation for 1 room 2 beds ; they gave us 1 room with one bed . when we asked them to fix the beds they said no workers today ( sunday ) do it yourdelf . very far from the city ; for this price you can find better hotel in the center of city. Also they force you to pay 12 euro for parking ! you are customer of this hotel but you have to pay parking too . I dont recommend this hotel for you .
